Dirp Engine is A 3D Engine Built From Scratch in Java

It is a hobby 3D game engine written entirely in Java, rendered

with OpenGL (via LWJGL)  and it comes with a basic editor, made

to feel sorta like Unity.

Setup

Download INTELIJIDEA:  https://www.jetbrains.com/idea/download/?section=windows

Then open INTELIJIDEA

What's in it

- **GameObject / Component architecture** — the same object model Unity

uses: GameObjects made of swappable Components (Transform, MeshRenderer,

  Camera, your own scripts, etc.)

- **A scene hierarchy** — parent/child nesting, drag objects together

in the Hierarchy panel, transforms compose correctly through the chain

- **Live Inspector** — drag-edit position/rotation/scale/color on anything,

in real time, while it's running

- **Edit / Play mode** — hit Play to run your gameplay logic, hit Stop and

the scene snaps back exactly how it was — nothing sticks unless you

  explicitly save it

- **In-editor scripting, in Java** — write a new Component, hit

Compile, and it's immediately attachable to any object — no separate

compile step, no restarting the engine

- **Scene save/load** — the whole scene (objects, hierarchy, components,

their tuned values) saves to a file and loads back, every time

- **One-click builds** — package the current scene into a standalone,

  shippable jar
